It is no secret that I am a longtime lover of coffee but I have recently had a sparked love for herbal teas. I love drinking hot tea in the mornings before breakfast and at night before I wind down for bed. There is just something about herbal teas that are so relaxing to me.
Recently, I have been drinking Raspberry Leaf tea and I am loving it! My naturopath suggested I include this tea into my routine on a daily basis for its many wonderful benefits and once I started seeing results, I was hooked.
Raspberry leaf tea is known for helping menstrual symptoms and it sure has given me relief during my time of the month. I don’t experience cramping anymore which is huge for me because I used to cramp so bad I would have to call out of work or I would live on extreme amounts of Midol and wear those heat patches on my stomach every day of my period. Not ideal for a 40 hour work week. I can’t remember the last time I had to buy Midol or heat patches now that I have been drinking the herbal drink that should be deemed liquid gold for period symptoms. Not only have my cramps stopped but my bloating has subsided and my boobs don’t get sore anymore. I could always tell when I was about to start because I would become extremely bloated and my boobs would be almost too sore to touch. Now, unless I am tracking my period, it is a complete surprise when I am visited by the crimson tide.
I used to get these crazy cravings and would eat everything it sight #givemeallthedessert but now I hardly ever have cravings and I am not grabbing everything edible I can get my hands on. My face doesn’t break out during the visit from aunt flo anymore. I used to break out like clockwork two days before but now my face stays like normal. What?!?!
I know what you are thinking, “there is no way that an herbal tea can help with period symptoms this much” but I’m here to tell you, RASPBERRY LEAF TEA WORKS. I was being a slacker for the last few weeks and haven’t been drinking it twice a day on the reg like I should and those period symptoms can back like a roaring lion. A week before I was eating everything and I mean EVERYTHING I could. I was bloated again, experienced cramps, and had a few pimples pop up.
I never realized how amazing this herbal tea was until my last period and I am back to drinking it twice a day like clockwork.
