Special Herb Blend

I love herbs. Every summer I grow an entire garden just for fresh herbs. They make foods taste so fresh and flavorful. However, sometimes fresh herbs are not always available during off seasons or you don’t have time to pick the herbs, wash them, and chop them before using. Therefore, dried herbs are the next best thing. Last year when I was trying to lose weight for my wedding, I came up with this herb blend to put on my salads just to give them a little extra flavor. I shake all of the herbs together and keep them in a sealable bowl in my spice cabinet for easy access. I still use this blend on almost every salad I eat at home and I also use it for different meats and vegetables I cook. It goes well with just about anything!

  • 2 tablespoons dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • ½ tablespoon dried rosemary
  • ½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ tablespoon onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dried red pepper flakes

Pour all herbs and spices into a sealable bowl. Place the lid on and shake until blended together. Sprinkle on anything you desire!

  • One of my favorite savory recipes I’ve created!! These chicken and “cheese” enchiladas are delicious. I used @so etefoods tortillas and @kitehillfoods cream cheese for the filling, and let’s not forget the amazing jalapeños my friend @mandalynn_j gave me from her garden! ⁣
They are so easy to make. Perfect for a busy weeknight dinner. Check out the recipe now with the link in my bio 🌶 #enchiladas #chickenrecipes #mexicanfood

  • I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about what brands of gluten free foods I eat. So I have put together a list of all my favorites! ⁣
⁣
Just because the package says it’s gluten free does not mean it’s healthy. You still need to read those labels! ⁣
